Call of Humanity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the community through various projects that inspire the next generation to change the world.
Simply defined, a calling is a strong inner impulse towards a particular course of action. For us, that calling is to inspire a sense of community to bring together humanity. We founded Call of Humanity to encourage ourselves and others to become empathetic and considerate human beings. We fundamentally believe in the values of good citizenship, harmony and mutual respect. Even between people of differing views, a sense of respect and caring co-habitance can exist by encouraging leadership, creativity, integrity, and innovation, because even a little kindness goes a long way.
Our generation is the future of the world, and together, we can make a difference. Because we are one family, and joining is just one click away.
Ayushi Kadakia & Shaina Grover are seniors at Northwood High School in Irvine, California. Both have volunteered in multiple places, and are recipients of the Presidential Gold Service Award. However, they felt they could have a bigger impact by starting a nonprofit organization. They believe that by helping the younger generation, the future of our world will be in good hands. Furthermore, they share the belief that because they are more fortunate, they should appreciate and take advantage of that by sharing their resources with others.
